1989 – 1997

Luxury Living and Lifestyle magazines

As a confirmed California junkie, I immersed myself in west-coast living magazines and dreamed about how and where I wanted to live. Architecture, homes, cigars, cars, boats, bikes, restaurants and general south-western living.

Most copies are read once and stored, some not at all, as I loved buying the magazines and being connected to the feelings and desires, but started losing the desire to find the time to read them and shifted focus to other things.

1989 – 1995

The Robb Report

The ultimate in luxury and lifestyle magazines. Six years complete collection, 1989 – 1995. All in mint condition.

1991 – 1995

Architectural Digest Magazine

About forty issues across five incomplete years, all in mint condition.

1992 – 1993

LA Style Magazine

There was nothing better on the west coast than LA Style. They interviewed celebrities in a laid-back style, included reviews of restaurants, shows, and southern-west living, lifestyle and activities.

1993 – 1995

Buzz Magazine

LA Style Magazine transformed into Buzz Magazine. The dimensions shrank from its massive coffee-table size format, but still larger than all other magazines on display.

1996 – 1997

Cigar Aficionado

I loved smoking cigars in my mid-late 20’s. There was a wonderful store in my town that was half corner-store and half humidor. The only place I could buy a bag of chips and a $50 cigar. I tried all the Cohiba and Romeo y Julietta I could afford. I rather enjoyed Cuban cigars, but my undeveloped palette wouldn’t be able to discern between other countries and so I wandered into Nicaragua a few times. This also started my short-lived obsession with pairing a cigar with D.O.M. Bénédictine and Brandy. Lovely.
